Promises broken

PROMISES BROKEN

Promises broken, no compromise
Heartache always follows
I see that sadness in your eyes
Can see now why one wallows

In a relationship so uncertain
Where do we go from here?
Is this really love's final curtain?
Please make this perfectly clear

Promises broken, you promised the world
Left me with a broken heart
Why are your feelings so withheld?
How can I be a part?

Part of a love that could be forever
But that was only before
Thought you wanted to be together
But those promises are no more

Promises are no more it seems
You've taken them away
Taken away all my dreams
Nothing more I need to say
