A poem as to how I relate when baking special treats.
Christmas Stolen
Add one cup of sugar, read the recipe to be made.
Be careful to add just the right amount of flour as you shape the braid.
Can't let the flour overpower the other special ingredients.
Doing it all just right requires patience and obedience.
Each special ingredient must be respected
For this recipe has been handed down from
generation to generation.
Handpicked from the best of chefs,
It even made its' way on Pinterest!
Juice and small pieces of dried fruit mixed within
Kneading the dough just right; can't make it too thin.
Let it rise until double in bulk,
Man, there is enough dough in this recipe to feed the Hulk!
Now that the dough has risen,
Open the oven door and adjust the racks within.
Place the oven racks according to the recipe.
Quiet time; baker go rest your knees.
Reset the oven timer for fifty minutes at 350 degrees.
Set yourself in a comfy chair and enjoy a cup of tea.
Thirty minutes in, time to check on that special treat.
Unveiling the most decadent gift of the season.
Vowing that you will not keep any for midnight eating.
Wanting so much to be selfish and dive right in.
Xerox the recipes to be shared with family and friends.
Yes, tis the season for sharing, caring, and putting others first instead.
Zoom in with your camera and take a picture of that beautiful Christmas Stolen bread!

I found this contest to be a good challenge for me as I have not ever done one like this before. It is a bit difficult to keep poem within a subject matter and while also keeping it in line with the letters of the alphabet.
