A prisoner's thoughts.

Condemned

I wish I knew how it felt to be
a bird up high in the sky, so free.
Flying around from tree to tree.
Looking down at the rooftops, the hills and the sea
but there will never be freedom for me.

My jail cell's the only thing that I see.
All I have now is memory.
Remorse and regret?...not sure...maybe.
