Betrayed

Savagely Hurt

You and I
no longer applies
when talking about us.
I gave you my body,
heart and soul,
then you betrayed my trust.

Who the hell
do you think you are,
finding someone new?
I count myself as lucky
to finally be rid of you.

Remember when
we first met,
at the bookstore
down the street?
You were reading Stephen King,
I thought you looked so sweet.

If only I had known then,
what now causes
me to weep,
is that you were
the BIG BAD WOLF
and I your willing sheep.

You took my hand
in yours and said,
"I think it's meant to be."
I didn't see the fangs
you hid as your lips
gently kissed me.

You took me
on a magic ride,
false love your dark device.
That led me down
a ruined path,
despite my friend's advice.

They told me to steer
clear of you,
that you weren't what
you seemed.
I saw only the best in you,
a foolish lovers dream.

But when I saw you
with her, the dream
I had turned dark.
You held her body
close to you,
you promised her your heart.

There's nothing you can
say or do.
No memories
will I keep.
I'll leave you to
your wolfish life
and your brand new willing
sheep.
