Hotel Plaza

by jenintorre

I'm real cool cos' most kids live in apartments
But I live in a hotel.

Mommy has lots of friends, they're really nice guys
They bring me toys and candy
and give me cash to go to the movies.

I got ten dollars today, I saw a movie, bought popcorn,
soda and five Hershey bars.

I can stay up real late and play hookey from school,
Mom doesn't mind but I gotta stay outside cos'
I get under her goddamned feet.
She's busy, I guess.

I can read real good now.
On our hotel it says...

ROOMS TO RENT BY THE HOUR.
