What is more joyful than Spring's arrival?

Spring's Cause to Celebrate

by RodG

There's color in the park today
as Spring's arrived to decorate
with gay pastels, bye dingy grey.
There's cause, my friend, to celebrate.

Old Winter stayed here much too long.
He kept us homebound, made us wait
for leaves to sprout, to hear bird song.
But hark! There's cause to celebrate.

Beside the pond stand cherry trees
whose profuse blooms bees pollinate.
Pink petals spinning in the breeze
inspire, cause one to celebrate.

But GREENING's what I really want,
life only God can replicate.
Lawns stippled now in chartreuse font
give cause to smile and celebrate.
