TEARS ON THE KEYBOARD

Tears on the keyboard,
My eyes are a river
Please tell me oh dear Lord,
Why you're a taker not a giver?

Tears on the keyboard
My heart lays here heavy
For fears that my dear Lord
Is charging a life levy

I sit here bewildered,
Teardrops wet my fingers
Wonder why people hurt most
Are the carers and givers

Tears on the keyboard
My emotions run free
For fears that my dear lord
Gives me no guarantee

No, I'm not religious
But I do have a faith
And I feel it's insidious
And to this I bequeath

I wanna leave this legacy
For all here to see
That the people I care about
Are the one's wild and free

Tears on the keyboard
My emotion's an ocean
That brings me my solace
So I'll always show devotion
