I Wonder

by w.j.debi

Sometimes I sit and wonder why
our life's so short on Mother Earth.
Our curiosity from birth
demands we search and seek reply.

But we can never satisfy
desires to know all things of worth.
Sometimes I sit and wonder why
our life's so short on Mother Earth.

Yet, I accept I must comply,
and try to gain my share of mirth
for all those truth's I can unearth.
As sun and stars go rushing by,
sometimes I sit and wonder, "Why?"
