A Treasured Toy

by Ogden

Oh, how I wish I found my toy.
When I was just that little child.
My toy went gone, and I went wild.
A stolen toy, unhappy boy.

Such trauma, young, for girl or boy
Can take it’s toll in trust defiled.
Oh, how I wish I found my toy.
When I was just that little child.

I used all means I could employ
To maintain naive childhood’s smiles,
But could not stay traumatic trials.
Unwary was that little boy.
Oh, how I wish I found my toy.
