a tale of a whale
The Trump Backed Whale
In the oceans of Americite
Lived a big ol' whale with a huge appetite
A clever ol' whale who could spin quite a tale
Whose spouting convinced others without fail.
With a tail that could thump and a trump of a hump
He threatened a lump to all who wouldn't jump
When he demanded things done this way or that
And with cronies cleverly placed he grew plenty fat.
He saw whales to the North having sea cows for dinner
But this hoary old whale, determined he must be the winner
Gobbled the sea cows all up and shouted with glee
Then turned his wrath upon the Southern Sea.
The seas to the South held hard working whales
Who occasionally strayed into Northern vales
But the nasty old whale spouted off about thugs
Who'd pollute his fair waters with strange kinds of bugs.
"Now rip up the reef!" the old hump back did spout
"And build a great wall to keep them all out
Get busy, get working and don't be so lazy!"
And all in the oceans and seas thought he was crazy.
So the reef's still in place, as of yet there's no wall
Breath held to see if the whale has the gall to build it at all.
Now there's a human in trouble 'cause wouldn't you know it
For his next meal his mind's set on a Canadian poet.

All whales, oceans and events are fictional. Any resemblance to reality is purely coincidental.
