Circle of enduring love

Band Of Gold

by Kazzawin

Slim
Band of gold
Encircling my finger, entwining our hearts.
You promised the world to young, carefree lovers,
Who pledged in return to honour you
'Until death us do part'.

And we did.

Blessed with
Passion and love
We glided through life on the wings of fortune,
Enriched with hope and joy
For many years.

Then he left.

And now, what remains
Are letters and memories,
Unspoken words and silent tears.
And you...his token of love,
A shiny, slim
Band of gold.
