This Story's Moral Still Unwritten

by Ogden

Alert: If you are a devoted supporter of Donald Trump, and become piqued when reading something impugning his character and deeds, you probably should avoid this poem.

I believe, and hope you will, too,
All my views, I'm convinced, are true.
Sad to say, some will be aggrieved,
but this, I vow, I do believe.

Contest or not, I know it's right;
Survival means we have to fight!
Protest the evils that we face,
endangering the human race.

That is not exaggeration
Or just idle speculation.
Here is some insight to the man
to understand the way he plans:

His lifelong concept of fair play
Is Donald has to get his way.
The early Donald always did,
spoiled and pampered as a kid.

Misjudgments never see revisions,
He'll not admit wrong decisions.
Each time he errs, he doubles down,
Compounding blunders, his renown.

Trump learned young to manipulate,
and those he did, deserved his hate.
Right or wrong, he was always right
Dissent, to him, a stinging slight.

Promises, designed to deceive,
assume followers are naive.
That worked to win nomination,
precursor to domination.

The way to win, Trump claimed he knows:
He always deems opponents foes.
Living by "means justify ends,"
throughout his life, he's had few friends.

He wielded wealth as weaponry,
and thus achieved ascendancy.
Without regard for poor folks' cares,
Surrounds himself with billionaires.

No calumny too low to use
to trash opponents he abused.
No one revels in lying more.
His bullshit is a crashing bore!

Worst of all he's a colluder!
Presidents have ne'er been cruder.
He conspires with our enemies;
Their blackmail brought him to his knees.

Evidence becoming clearer;
Donald's downfall drawing nearer.
With his disloyal deeds undone
Justice, finally, will be won.

Donald Trump will be indicted,
His legacy forever blighted.
A life of promise, squandered, failed
The first president to be jailed.
