America's colors

Red, Blue and White

by Ogden

Nowadays, red stands for right-leaning,
And blue for the opposite meaning.
Let's add
 white for the many minorities,
Welcoming white, important priorities.

It's vital to our traditional mission
to uphold Lady Liberty's vision -
Escape tyranny, immigrants flee:
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..."

Let us not permit political pressure to close our "golden door."
"Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

We must strive to resist intolerance with all of our might.

And thrive, united in harmony, our colors Red, Blue, and  White.
