summer gardens

by judester

Bright summer gardens, beneath swaying leaves
watching the fireflies, flit among trees.
Through fragrant blossoms, they gracefully weave
between the soft raindrops, riding the breeze.

Amber hued dragonflies blend with gold bees
delicate ladybug's polka dot wings.
These days, they're missing and it seems to me,
A garden needs bugs and songbirds to sing.

Why spray caustic poisons, so senselessly?
Killing those bugs, some we can't even see.
Gardens once hummed, now they sway silently,
nature is muted, to keep fruits spot free.

If we have to choose, between spots or bees,
Please, choose those bees, let them buzz happily.
