In My Imagination

by June Sargent

Spent my childhood in the city
Sometimes life was not that pretty
Still our minds were our salvation
Using our imagination
Flying kites around the fountain
We'd pretend it was a mountain
Games like hopscotch kept us busy
Paper plates would serve as frisbees
Never was there a dull moment
Wealth of ideas would foment
Now our grandsons come to visit
Internet down? No, we need it!
Use your own imagination
Give the Wi Fi a vacation
