This work has reached the exceptional level
Struggling with being afraid...of cancer, of the future

Being Afraid

My fear is my prayer; not sent
because I doubt.

My doubt is the inability to believe in myself.

Oh, to believe in myself enough
to take my fear and give it to God.

But, I don't.

I give it to Him.
I take it back.
I give it to Him.
I take it back.

It sounds like a child's game
but it is my life.

I must not fear or doubt.
I must ultimately believe
in myself.

And Because belief is to trust
in the totality of God's power and presence,

I will not fear.
