Picture this challenge
River mirror
The river flowed silently and at other times swift
Leaping and dancing over rocks, rills and rift
The blue river gleamed in the bright morning sun
And cheerfully sang of what the Lord had done
"I'll be a mirror for all to see
Just what the Lord has done for me
I'll welcome the fish in my waters to live
They'll provide food, precious life they will give"
"Come drink, thirsty stranger from my waters so clear
Rest on my grassy banks, sleep without fear
Bathe as you will and wash your cares away
Your reflection can be seen throughout the day"
"Are you living a life that mirrors your soul
Do my waters reflect if you're timid or bold
Can you see in my waters a life that's well spent
Or things you've put off, full of empty intent?"
"I've seen you through rapids and great waterfalls
Carried you gently and yet through it all
You've mastered the waves and the still waters deep
For God watches over you, you're soul He will keep"
"Reflections in the waters of life are reserved
To remind us of His suffering and so undeserved
For you He's provided the waters of life
Seek the kingdom, love your neighbor, live without strife"
"So flow with the river, let my waters keep score
I'll nurture you and keep you in my banks evermore.
And when life is over , and you've used what God sent
My river mirror will reflect for you a life that's well spent"
