Lord, creator of all life, big and small,
a prayer rings out through the land.
The magestic elephants need your help
before they disappear from earth.

You have blessed them with their ivory tusks,
mankind now covets them, cruelly.
They are killing these peaceful, gentle beasts,
for nothing more than bone trinkets.

They live their lives as loving families,
and grieve, as yet another dies.
Soulful, deep eyes, full of cosmic wisdom,
intuition, we don't possess.

Please Lord, watch over these helpless creatures,
they are no match against the greed.
If we would now cherish and protect them,
Man might learn of their compassion.
