Love Binds All--Hate Destroys
by michael cahill

The Nature of Man         The Nature of God

trembling, I ponder lights in the sky            those stars are for the wonder of your eye
how can they not fall without a hand to hold         holding them aloft before you, bold
earth seems so safe, yet I seek their realm          else you would never seek a higher helm

night finds me alone with my mind                    night is when truth you should find
all that I seek is concealed                            all shadows have truth there revealed
tell me, is there anyone out there                             trust without facts, boldly dare
underneath all of this I feel fear                           unleash faith within, love is near
regard for me never seems nigh                            regard for you comes from on high
even now my grave doubt paralyzes                          eliminate doubt and hope rises

only here, only now seems to matter                only what lies inside climbs the ladder
freedom’s myth is my bitter bane                 fly in freedom, seek truth’s full refrain

must this life have no meaning at all                Give the voice deep within ear to call
alone, once again, I just don’t feel whole                only you hold the fate of your soul
nothing left but to bow down and pray    delight! if you seek, you will find me this day

I'm sorry the type is so small, the site won't let me make it any bigger. You can increase your screen size and also viewing this in classic is a bit easier to read.
To read in classic click title Love Binds All--Hate Destroys

This is a double acrostic. The red is a free verse acrostic and the blue is a free verse acrostic.
This is also a cleave poem. First read the poem in red, then the one in blue. Finally read them together as one rhyming poem from left to right.

I'm hoping it isn't possible to identify a particular religion based on this piece. I hope any religion or even positive lifestyle can identify with the concepts herein.
