People in Hawaii are laid back

Hawaiian Time

by Earthwriter

A place where time stands still and no one hurries
Surrounded by water,sun,sand and trees
Far away from mainland life and its worries
A peaceful paradise with an ocean breeze

Hawaiian people do not live life by the clock
They are guided instead by the setting sun
Everywhere they go they are on a leisurely walk
Life on the island is about friends, family and fun

Island Living is a reason to celebrate
a place in the sun where tranquility resides
Everyone's happy and no one's ever late
Just a rock in the ocean rolling with the tides

People in Hawaii know how to live. Nothing is done in a hurry. Where the weather is always nice and the water is always warm its hard to go to work. People saunter around and tentatively schedule events, and no ones ever late. Without all the stresses of mainland America, Hawaii is about as laid back as it gets. I have a friend who was born and raised on the Big Island and she told me about the concept of Hawaiian time and I wrote a poem abut it.
