A theme song lyric I wrote for the city of Cincinnati back i

Cincinnati

by His Grayness

There's a heartbeat from the city's Fountain Square
An old town with new ways ev-ver-ee where
Tall building rise like fingers reaching up to touch the sun
The river flows beneath where steamboat races still are run
And all around its seven hills are nature's works of art
It's Cincinnati...Cincinnati...a place for the young
The very young
And, the young at heart.
In the times that we live it's not easy
Finding places where friendships begin
But here in this city, it seems that smiles are born
From a pure form of kindness...that comes from within
Everybody needs a someplace to call home
A safe place, a warm place, where they are known
A special place that's natural for their fondest dreams to grow
When ones who care about you have a special kind of glow
The kind of place you know your kids will get a better start,
It's Cincinnati, Cincinnati, a place for the young, the very young
And the young at heart!

I wrote this theme song for Cincinnati when I lived there years ago and was in the music writing/publishing business
