Horror Sonnet Contest

The Armageddon Angels

The Armageddon angel armies wait
for tribulation's end and their command
to seize the world that they'll annihilate.
A predetermined fate of reprimand.



Their numbers will eclipse the skies above.
Like thunder, man will hear their charging steeds.
Their actions void of mercy or of love.
With murderous intent, each scout proceeds.



But all will plead "Compassion" as they're slain,
yet nations' cries will hold no valued worth.
The carnage shall not cease 'till none remain.
Then left behind will turn a soulless earth.



All heads will bow as Heaven's choir sings
and mankind's blood still stains the angels' wings.
