Tonight I'm riding rainbows that always go away
Looking for tomorrow in every yesterday
Once upon forever I used to be your man
But, that was many years ago, and, it's so hard to understand

Why do I always have to do the things I do
The hardest fall I ever had was the day that I lost you
When that old familiar feeling starts to come around
Nothing that I know of keeps my feet here on the ground

This bottle on the table can't drown your memory
Loneliness is all I know of, and, it won't let me be

Shot down by the lie I told you the night I made you cry
