Writing Prompt Write one traditional haiku Your choice of subject Use a season word or obvious seasonal reference 3 lines (generally short/long/short) 2 grammatically-connected lines of CONCRETE imagery (something you see, hear, smell, taste, or touch) One fragment "aha" satori (either first or last line) 17 OR FEWER syllables (does not have to be 5-7-5) Present tense No art work (let your words paint the picture) No end rhymes No personification No notes (at end or in description line) |
