a 100 word story
the tree house
by judester
Joe ran from the house and his fiancee's screaming. He climbed into the ancient tree house that his grandfather had built.
His wedding was in a week and he was broke. He had lost money in his cousin's little scheme.
He banged the wall with his fist as he cursed his foolishness.
A noise rattled behind the walls and a single silver coin rolled out. He saw the markings and grinned.
His Grandfather had died last year, never revealing where he had hidden his valuable coins.
Picking it up, Joe ran home and called the best wedding planner in town.
