If I could
I would live their lives, save them from errors and catastrophic choices. I would use all my hard-fought knowledge and painfully gleaned wisdom, bits of this and that, to help each one succeed. If I could I would weave beauty into each tapestry of day, erase all coarseness, obliterate anger and discontent; leave a path of loveliness for daily promenades. If I could I would gladly shower each one with the worldly blessings I have squirreled away; abundant pieces of gold and silver to enrich and ease the wants, provide the necessities. If I could I would teach them to pray, to work diligently, become familiar with themselves, find out who's inside; to learn to push past the adversity that strengthens belief and reap the wonders of their own lives.
