Tender Tears

by kiwisteveh

Minute Contest Winner

My child, I see upon your face
a teardrop's trace.
What hurt so deep
can make you weep?

My child, you are so young to know
this world of woe.
Such tender years
should not shed tears.

My child, I read it in your eyes;
'tis no surprise.
These tears I see,
you weep for me.
