Maybe us Scots next...
Happy Independence Day.
by Jaq Cee
It all began some years ago in seventeen seventy six, you fought to rule your precious land with guns, cannons and picks. You battled through 'Old Blighty's' might, the sacrifice unkind, respect is shown for them today your nation they defined. Right now in Scotland it's our time, we demand our right to FREEDOM, no blood-soaked soil for us to walk, just a YES in the referendum. Let's hope my people show true mettle like our forefathers, Pict and Gael. This Celtic courage deep inside will ensure that we can't fail. America enjoy your day, celebrations in abundance, and pray for us that come next year we both have our Independence. |

Of course as was pointed out I didn't mention the Native American Indian. This was in no way meant as an insult. By 'Your land' for me they were part of that. Excuse my ignorance on that matter.
'Old Blighty' = England. Pict and Gael ancient Scots.
This year Scotland votes for the right to self-determination. For 300 years we have been second class citizens. I pray we have the courage to go forward.
