I know it's time to free my mind
from fear-filled thoughts which surely bind
they only serve to dull and blind
my inner Zen no more aligned.

Lord, take me from this daily grind
off to a place where I may find
a life so beautifully designed
where love and joy are redefined.

Defeatist thoughts will be consigned
into the darkness, reassigned,
no more my mind will be maligned
by thoughts not of the hope-filled kind.
