The Dance
by Spiritual Echo
"Ridiculous," said the blind instructor." Everyone can dance."
"No," the father insisted, "we came for the music appreciation class. My daughter can't dance. Please do not humiliate her."
The instructor carefully set down his cane, turned on the CD player and with confidence, walked to the centre of the room. Instinctively he reached for the young girl's outstretched hands. Their fingers touched and meshed as the harmonies from the invisible orchestra flooded the room.
And so it was, that the blind man and the girl in the wheelchair waltzed together, forgetting their limitations and surrendering to the magic of music.
