The other side of Midnight.

On the other side of midnight
caressed by silent tears,
I cry myself to sleep once more
as all hope disappears.

On the other side of midnight
as thoughts invade my brain,
I try to make some sense of them
before I go insane.

On the other side of midnight
I pray to God above,
please take away this pain I feel
and fill it up with love.

On the other side of midnight
bereft and feeling low,
I search inside for answers
that only I can know.

BUT...

On the other side of midnight
there dawns a brand new morn,
where I can start rebuilding
my dreams to be reborn.

On the other side of midnight
caressed by hope's delight,
my tears are now subsiding
and I won't give up the fight.
