Sense of Spring

As I watch the snow melt today
I know a rose is on the way
My flower garden it will grace
A happy smile put on my face

Sun will brighten to warm the earth
Before long creatures will give birth
As springtime shows us renewal
Ending the long winter’s cruel

Lilac scents will fragrance fresh air
Abundance of life ev’rywhere
In Mother Nature I believe
Long winter’s cold she will relieve

Children will be released from school
Afternoons spent at swimming pool
On the porch adults drink iced tea
What a grand summer it will be
