Land Of Dreams

by Idamarty

Drift off little one, to the land of dreams,
As night stars glitter and yellow moon beams.
Where imagination can be set free,
And the whole world becomes a fantasy.

Set sail in the sky on a whale of a boat,
Where a sea snake ensures you stay afloat.
Origami birds wave as they fly by,
It`s a wonderful world, you can`t deny.

A worm in an apple gives you a smile,
``Don`t be shy,`` he says, ``come join us a while.``
You stand in awe, wanting so much to go,
Just for a moment, mom and dad won`t know.

A creature whose hat just can`t be ignored,
Pulls up along side and helps you aboard.
You find yourself inside the whale`s belly,
Standing beside two fish made of jelly.

There`s a party going on way down here,
`Cause it`s somebody`s birthday, that`s quite clear.
An octopus holds a cake in his hands,
While playing guitar and doing handstands.

He places the cake on a marble dish,,
``Now blow out the candles and make a wish.``
The cake is one of the biggest you`ve seen,
Covered in icing of aqua marine.

``I wish I could stay here forever,`` you say,
``Wake up sleepy head it`s a brand new day!``
You open your eyes to the morning light,
Wondering where dreams will take you tonight.
