Free verse poetry

February rhythm

by zanya

Crocuses unfurl their vibrant saffron blue and mauve
Daffodils dare to dance
Light spills earlier through the curtain
Evening shadows fall ever later
Crows caw noisily from the highest branch
Preening for their mate
Timid new-born lambs balance on spindly legs
Wind's raw edge softens
Mother Nature renews Earth's cyclical heartbeat
