In Florida lots of green and up north, lots of reds.

Spring or Autumn

sniffing the air and closing my eyes
to disguise
this tropical scene of greenery

almost feeling the sharp autumn chill
ice on sill
windy northern October leaf storms

the orange, red, green and yellow display
artists' clay
delights the senses on trees and ground
crunchy sound
burning smells
children's yells

it must be autumn but
palm trees green
flowers seen
subtropics look like budding spring

Thanks to MoonWillow for picture "Tropical Orange". I spent 41 years in Michigan and 24 years in Florida. Miss the autumn leaf color changes but can't tolerate the winters anymore.
