A girl makes a friend with a dragon.
Dragon in the Bathtub
by Magic Wand
There's a dragon in my bathtub.
I can see her in the mirror. It's getting foggy from her breath. I wipe it...now It's clearer. Around the shower door she peaks, So shy, so sweet, so charming. And then I jump to hear her say, "Hello." It's quite alarming. To see a dragon standing there, I'm thinking, it 's a dream. But as I gently touch her face She lets out a scream. "Shhh!" I say, and , "Quiet now. We should not tell the others. You're a secret we must keep From my older brothers." You can spend the night with me No one will know you're here If you sleep underneath my bed, You'll have no one to fear. Your scales are dry I'll add some oil Into your bath and then I'll pamper you with a facial, too. You'll have much softer skin. Bubblegum is my color choice When I do all my nails. You'll also like this shade of pink. It complements your scales I'll name you Opal just because Your wings and tail, they sparkle. And when the family sleeps tonight, I'll teach you to play Farkle. How I adore my BFF! I know she loves me too. We have a friendship built on trust. There's nothing we can't do. |
