My name is reality
I live life as I perceive it
And it is barren
And I am alone
To friends
To family
To faith

And I miss
What was the spark of my life
In the days when people
Were pure
And I was their friend
And family was
My pleasure
And the lord
Blessed my efforts

But I do have realities
And the reality
Says I am the taker
Not the giver
