Pained Realities

The pain is in the window
It is clear and constant
Reflective of life
It is invisible in form
Breakable in reality
Curable in essence
Opaque in darkness
Crackable when damaged

I am me and pain is my reality
My goals of achievement have been offered and accepted
And time will be my referee

Are there doctors to heal me
Are there psychiatrists to cure me
Will their will be my offering
To a life of serenity

Let it be so
The path of healing
Is not a straight one

But I am focused

And if the pain endures
I will tolerate it
And I will
See the world
Through a fractured window

It will be clear with purpose
Acceptable in frailty
Reliant on others to fill its cracks
