Peaceful as the quiet of a summer's day
I lie adrift
Afloat on a cloud of white
In the brightness of the morning's sun

I travel
Timelessly
Aimlessly
To destinies unknown
Happily aglow
In the warmth of a mid morning breeze

Tides of time
Irrelevant
To my thoughts
Bring peace in smiling imagery

And suddenly
She is there

Her eyes gleaming bright
Shine golden with hope

Her hair
Brushed to silk
Blows tenderly
Across her face

Her cheeks
Flushed to red
Dimple with enticement
Boding well
For impending togetherness

And the sun
Glowing in brightness
Sends tingles of ecstasy
On my river of serenity

And I dream
With clouds soaring
Gently
Against the heat

It is good
To be alive
