The cadaver grows cold inside my coffin
Its stench
Reeks rot
Decaying to ooze
The flesh
That bore my name

I watch
In horror
As the chewing of critters
Corrupts the corpse
Of the life that had been mine

And I cringe
With disjointed sorrow
As vermin
So vile in vilification
Attack my carcass
And lay bare
The disrespect to my soul
As I succumb
To mourn
The indignity of my death
