A chapter in the book I Choose Rainbows

Schizophrenia

by sholessjo

Believe it
Believe it
It must be true
I was told the sun
Is really blue

Yet I see it differently
From time to time
And once and now
Its color is lime

Then again
There's that silly fellow
Who swears to God
It's really yellow

What oh what
Should I believe
Can the minds of people
Really conceive
What is true
From what is not
Or should I cry
A stormy sop

Holy Moses
Holy gee
I think I'll fret
Eternally

And when I die
They'll plant a seed
My tears of suffering
Will grow a weed

Crazy crazy
It makes no sense
What I need are shrinks

With common sense

They will tell me
The meaning of strife
And I'll stop worrying
About this thing called
Life
