An ABC poem
A chapter in the book And then there's Grace
Mercy's Rain
by Carolyn 'Deaton' Stephens
Mercy's Rain
Hearts not touched by love nor pain Inept to feel sweet Mercy's Rain Jealousy , hatred , to the core Kills the soul to live no more Unfettered grace can but restore Monstrous greed and evil lurks Near might and wealth whose duty shirks Oppressions heavy weight not seen Poverty and hopeless dreams Sorrow weeps with silent screams Quickly come, Oh Lord of Light Rescue those from life's sad plight Strengthen hearts to feel no strain Touched once more with much to gain When hearts can stand in Mercy's Rain |

Thank you Shari K for the lovely picture. How can one have a beautiful rainbow without first having the rain. Thank you for reading my poem, Carolyn
