Melancholy and Joy

by Allison78

Melancholia makes me grey
The trees naked as the
Absent songbirds
My light never shines
And I grow as pale
As a corpse

But there are days when

Joy covers me like a blanket
Made of diamonds
And a doe and her baby
Stand out like a
Masterpiece

And when my light sets
There is
Black velvet and starlight
Above me
And glittered alabaster below me
