Melancholy and Joy

Melancholia makes me grey
The trees naked as the Absent songbirds My light never shines And I grow as pale As a corpse But there are days when Joy covers me like a blanket Made of diamonds And a doe and her baby Stand out like a Masterpiece And when my light sets There is Black velvet and starlight Above me And glittered alabaster below me |
