Do not weep

A chapter in the book A collection

A Song birds call

by Jean Hornby

When I am buried in the soil
Do you see a butterfly flutter
And hear a song birds call,
Do you feel the wind as it blows
Do you see a sparkle in the crisp White snow,
And also watch a flower open petals as it grows.

When I am buried in the soil
Do you see a star twinkle in the sky,
Then do you suddenly hear a new born baby cry
And do you see a bird spread it's wings and fly

When I have been placed in the ground below
Do not weep because I did not go,
Do not cry because you think I am there
Take a look around,
I am now everywhere.

Do not stand at my grave and cry
Instead hold my memories close to your heart
And do not pull yourself apart,
Remember I know that you will always care
So please step away from my grave
Because I am not ' There '
