A house alone

A chapter in the book A collection

The house on the hill

by Jean Hornby

The house on the hill who lives there .
I don't know and other people don't care,
The house on the hill is lifeless and old,
It holds many secrets so I'm told.

The house on the hill is mysterious
It has many stories to tell,
Some folk say it is haunted
Some say it's the gateway to hell

The house on the hill may hold secrets
And may have a story to tell
And it may look like it could be haunted
And be the gateway to hell

The house on the hill wants to see you
Fear not, I will be your guide,
I will show you all the life it Holds
And the many secrets that are kept inside,
Do ignore the many faces at its windows
It is just that no one has been there in a while.

The house on the hill would like to know you
Fear not what you could have seen,
Just do try and stay until morning
To say you did survive and that you have been,
And do try and turn the nightmare into a bit of a dream.
