Flash Fiction
. . .and I'm sticking to it!
by rosehill (Wendy)
Sam spoke breathlessly into the phone, "So, I finally decided to murder her."
He grimaced, sweat rolling down his face with an annoying tickle. "After that whole scene at the wedding, what else could I do? She was beginning to get difficult. I arranged for her to trip over the bride's veil and land at the bottom of the ballroom staircase with a broken neck." His laughter was dark and evil.
"Now, If I can just come up with a brilliant final sentence and tie up a bit of loose dialogue, I'll have it. More tinkering would just muddy the script. Besides, my agent is going to have a heart attack unless it's in her hands by Monday. For someone so mild-mannered she sure can scream, don't you think?
Sam dropped his drink and cursed, " Almost fell off this damn treadmill I'm so tired."
