The Seed

Since the beginning there was separation
Enmity
Between thy seed and the seed of the woman.
Never before
was
there division.

He was without his righteousness clothed in skin
Man
As one of us to know both good and evil.
Cast out
 now
God kept the tree of life.

Abram was grieved the heir Ishmael was not to be
Abraham
Thou shalt be a father of many nations.
The covenant
was made
now in his loins.

Fourteen generations later the shepherd
David
I will stablish the throne of his kingdom.
So be
 the house of the Lord
was built.

The virgin wed to Joseph a just man
Jesus
That conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Adam
to Mary
 so the seed ran.

Now the question
Remains,
How can we tell
The seed that we are?

"Being born again
Not
of
corruptible seed
But of incorruptible
By the word of God
Which Liveth
And
Abideth forever"
