An angel wakes me each morn,

nudges me out of my bed,

and calmly whispers into my ear

to get up and welcome the new day

Having never seen my spirit guide,

maybe my body clocks my life and nothing more

But sometimes out of the corner of my eye,

a wisp of white feathers float to earth

I would turn suddenly to try to catch them

only to realize it was my imagination

although I could swear I heard a giggle
