Life is sooooo complicated.
Change of Heart
by humpwhistle
With sardonic laughter, Tony admitted that the murder of crows lining the church eaves didn’t bode well for his wedding.
His thoughts were conflicted and muddy. He suffered a mild headache---if you measure migraines in megatons. Apparently he’d really let loose and had a couple distilleries too much to drink at his stag. Even so, he was thinking well enough to realize nothing was final. Not yet, anyway.
He stewed and brined on the church steps, searching his secretly aching heart.
Finally satisfied with his decision, he brushed off the seat of his trousers, and entered the church.
He marched straight to the nave and faced the best man he’d ever known. He uttered one simple sentence. “Bill, will you marry me instead?”

Just telling a story, folks. Oh, and a 'murder of crows' is the same as a 'gaggle of geese'---unless you're a crow.
