a dolphin's perspective
Swimming with Humans
by mermaids
clumsy, yet graceful
awkward limbs bash about in my watery home I nudge her she responds gleefully happiness in the sea humans, strange yet familiar no fins or tail perpetual smile a backflip gets an aah from this weird creature she caresses my smooth skin kisses my nose delighted in my company she evokes curiosity in my senses so I play and have fun with this land animal minnows dart back and forth my turtle companion swims away we share the warm water for many hours until she is weary leaving me to catch up with my family this odd mammal gives me a long farewell promising to return for a day of playfulness in the sea |
